Store Locator Enhancements
Achieve greater business intelligence and ROI from your locator
Gone are the early days of store locators simply finding locations nearest to customers. Today many of our customers use the enhanced locator capabilities to:
-
Serve the more sophisticated needs of customers and prospects
-
Gain an easier, faster, more accurate way to keep their business location information up-to-date
-
Gain exceptional insight into customers, prospects and markets based on information collected from everyday use of the locator.
The following enhanced capabilities for your locator are available from SpatialPoint:
Speech/IVR
Integrating locator functionality into your call center using speech recognition or an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) can save you money by reducing the number of incoming calls that must be answered live. It also provides an additional way for customers to find your locations when they are not online.
Driving Directions
Driving directions make it easier for online browsers to make the trip to your stores. The quality, accuracy and usability of driving directions can vary greatly. Ask your vendor about the source of their routing data and how routes are calculated and displayed.
Trip Planning
Plan a trip between any two locations and get directions to any of your stores, branches or outlet locations along the way. This feature is perfect for traveling sales, service or management personnel, plus a great service to offer consumers.
Location Editing
An easy-to-use tool for creating, storing, managing and editing location data. Now managers can easily update local information through a corporate-branded interface. Price changes, new store hours, promotions, and the availability of products and service can be changed in a matter of seconds.
Store Information
Customers seeking your locations are also usually seeking a specific product or service. Along with location results, you can provide information on products and services offered at each location, hours of operation, phone numbers and other information relevant to customers.
Trade Area Analysis
User locations can be recorded to determine where customers are looking for you. This information will help you examine the extent of your trade areas, identify underserved or saturated markets, and help improve site selection and target marketing offers.
Demographics
You can attach geo-demographics to user locations as they are input into the locator system. This will allow you to:
-
Profile customers based on geo-demographics and correlate those profiles to purchasing patterns
-
Present real-time offers to locator users based on their profiles
-
Identify new, potentially profitable areas to place additional stores where people with similar profiles live
eCommerce Integration
Link your locator to an eCommerce system such as hotel reservations. For example, once users find a hotel in their selected area, they can be taken directly to reservation and booking.
Territory Assignment
Integrate your locator with a lead capturing system and automatically assign a location inquiry for products and services to appropriate sales, service or distributor territory.
Flexible Search Options
Most locators list locations by distance – so the closest store is shown first and the farthest store in the search radius is last.
But some organizations work from territories. So no matter how close a store is to the customer, stores that are in the same territory as the customer are listed. See the images below:
|
With standard radius searching from a location (red star), the closest stores are found (diamonds with blue circle). |
|
For organizations that require searching by territory, the closest stores aren’t necessarily the ones selected (diamonds with blue circle that fall within territory). |
Prioritizing the Results
Besides having multiple ways to search for stores and dealers, SpatialPoint can tailor the list of stores or dealers to promote featured or preferred stores or dealers – regardless of distance.
